Hello I'm
Aakruti Ghatole
Software Engineer | Python · C++ · Cloud Systems | MS Information Systems @ Northeastern
MS Information Systems student at Northeastern, building backend systems at the intersection of software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and applied AI. Previously shipped production features in Siemens Solid Edge and built AI Copilot automation pipelines at Foundation EGI. 3 years post-graduation work authorization.

About Me
I'm a software engineer and MS Information Systems student at Northeastern University, Boston, with a background that sits at an unusual intersection — mechanical engineering, enterprise CAD software, and cloud-native backend systems.
I spent two years at Siemens Digital Industries Software shipping production features and automated testing infrastructure for Solid Edge, a CAD product used by engineers worldwide. At Foundation EGI, I built Python-based CAD automation tools using NX Open, managed cloud data pipelines on Google Cloud, and contributed to a prototype AI Copilot system for engineering design workflows.
Right now I'm building cloud-native backend infrastructure on AWS using Terraform, deepening my system design fundamentals, and exploring open source contribution through GSoC 2026 with FreeCAD. I'm looking for full-time Backend Software Engineer or Data Engineer roles starting August–December 2026, with 3 years of post-graduation work authorization.
